Kanye West Album Leaks

by naya 11/20/2008 4:28:00 PM
You know I had to find Kanye West's  808 & Heartbreaks album(sorry I can't tell you where).  It's due to hit stores on November 24, 2008

Well, due to his trials and tribulations last year I can understand why Kanye would give us an album like this. I guess it's better to sound like your going to commit suicide, rather than actually doing it. Don't get me wrong, Kanye's artistic side clearly shows on this album but I don't like hearing someone sound like they are about to slit their wrist. But hey that's just my opinion, I'll let you be the judge.

The album is great from a depressing stand point but if your looking for the normal Ye sound you won't be finding it on this album. Ladies, this is without a doubt a woman bashing album we are getting no love with song like "RoboCop" and "Heartless".

Sources say that Kanye's days of making Hip-Hop albums are done with.
Don't do it Ye!!!!

Teen Dies Over a Cell Phone

by naya 11/17/2008 11:00:00 PM
Like its not bad enough our teens are dying everyday from senseless crimes, but damn a cell phone. This morning at 9:45am two teen from Dunoon High School in Kingston, JA got into a dispute over a cell phone. The victim, 16yrs old Shevon Johnson, and is un-named attacker, were arguing over the phone and it developed into a situation that cause Shevon his life. He was stapped twice by his fellow classmate.

What is the world coming to?

My prayers go out to both families. The attacker is under police custody and being questioned.

ICM Fest 2008 without Alliance Crew!!!!

by naya 11/17/2008 10:27:00 PM

Okay, where should I start with this? Hmm..... how about I go right to the point. The Alliance Crew has done it again people, "No Show" or should I say "No Performance". The crew was in the building but they didn't put a foot on the stage. According to very close sources they didn't go on because the money was short.

Promoters, Promoters get your money right! Come on now, we all know that Alliance is about $$ so don't be surprise when they don't perform at your shit when you're not keeping up your end of the bargain.

And at the same time I hope Alliance isn't taking people money and not doing their part. Gives you something to think about right? Overall, the ICM Fest its self was okay. I can't say it was sold out, but it wasn't a complete flop. The weather was a lil nippy and that caught us all by surprise but Miami breeze is always a good thing.  All the other performers did a great job Queen Ifrica was great and Spragga Benz still got it!But the whole Alliance thing was a disappointment. For all my future promoters, when working with Alliance you better get with the right crew.

Jamaica's Finacial Growth is Not Looking Good

by naya 11/15/2008 6:36:00 PM
In recent news top Jamaican Financial official Sen. Don Wehby said, "Jamaica is cutting its projected economic growth for next year from 3 percent to 1 percent." This is unfortunate news for the island, due to the fact that after Hurricane Gustav 79% of the island's plantain and banana fields were destroyed. Even though tourism rates went up almost 6% from last year the island is still going through some tough times. The government is making an investment in their tourism area such as Kingston, St. Ann, and Negril by providing $11 million dollars towards clean-up and tourism attraction renovations to places such as Crafts Market, according to the Associated Press.  What will bring this island back to life? The government needs to give the people a Stimulus Package or give Obama a call, maybe he can give them some pointers. But until then the country will have even harder times hopefully someone can come to their aid.

GUSTAV LASHES JAMAICA

by eyeball 8/29/2008 10:12:00 PM
August 29th 2008 will never be the same again for the people of Jamaica after the aftermath of Gustav after it seems to be taking out it's rage on the island.Gustav was downgraded to a tropical storm before it takes a sudden turn for the island on Wednesday  afternoon. It was as if Gustav was giving the island a wash which lasted way too long which resulted in excessive flooding islandwide.Tavern an area between Papine and Gordon Town and through which the hope river runs was one of the areas which was not speared the wrath of the heavy rainfalls.Gordon Town also suffers from a large amount of land slippage.MacGregor Gully an area adjacent to the Allman Town Community also was damaged by excessive flooding. The main bridge which connects Kingston and St Thomas which is located in the Harbour View area was also washed away temporary cutting off all links between the two parishes. The heavy rainfall had overall left extensive damages islandwide and am pretty much sure the re-opening of schools come next week will definately be affected.

by eyeball 7/22/2008 5:51:00 PM

As the old saying goes the race is not for the swift but for those who can endures.Such seems to be the case between the world's two fastest sprinter over a 100 m but Powell leaves nothing to chance as he powers home to win the race ahead of Bolt at the DN Stadium on Tuesday 22nd july. The former World Record Holder won the race in a time of 9.89 second a hundredth of a second ahead of Bolt.Third went to Jaysuma Saidy Ndure of Norway in a time of 10.06 second.Powell commented how he was really happy for the win as it is a good confidence booster for him at this time. And it also helps him to stay focus on the Olympics.Bolt on the other hand was really disappointed with his performance and was rather disturbed by the false start which prevented him from focusing on his start.

T-PAIN FOR REGGAE SUMFEST

by eyeball 7/9/2008 12:11:00 AM
Definately no stranger to our shores T-Pain is back for another one of his high level performance at this year's Reggae Sumfest.  Southern Soulster T-Pain burst on the scene in the winter of 2005 with his debut "Pappa Ternt Sanga' and things just haven't been the same since. As a former microphone fiend who was down with the rap pack known as the Nappy Heads, a five man group which enjoyed moderate success. After doing an unofficial remix of "Locked Up" he was signed by Akon himself to his Konvict Music Imprint. Followed by the 2nd enticing single "I m n luv"(wit a stripper) he was well on his way to a brilliant career in so doing he sold a combined five million in ringtones of "Stripper" and "Sprung".  Coming back in 2007 he work hard in putting down his sophomore album "Epiphany".  This album offers a variety of musical styles that ranges from the snapping first single "Buy You A Drank" featuring Yung Joc to the rebel Reggae furur of "Shotz" to the deep message of "Suicide".  The 2nd single "Bartender" tells it own story.  The album is a must have.  Reggae Sumfest is a must be.  T-Pain will be devastating.  Watch out now.
