The Voice of Portmore - Mr Bertus
Mr Bertus is a reggae Artist and DJ from Portmore.s a child Bertus sang songs in the church choir and in concerts at school. his popularity grew with an initial appearance with Josey Wales in waltham park road in1978. barely legal to be in the dancehall; Bertus assumed the persona of Dirty Berty known for his "lyrical looseness". he recorded "On My Honor" with Pressley ; for the great Clancy Eccles in 1992.
As he grew so did his music -
Mr Bertus has appeared at major festivals and shows in Jamaica; Canada, UK and the US. He is presently recording for various producers and working on his long overdue cd release; expected during the last quarter of 2008.
Voted and receives Award from Newstyle Radio UK 2008, Mr Bertus is going Global and is tracks are heavily rotated in the UK, Germany, Costa Rica, Australia, and the rest of the World. Africa being a hotbed ripping the top 10 charts in South Africa with his tune 'Reckless Life'.
