Best of the Best 2008, The Dancehall/Hardcore Reggae event of the year at Miami's Bicentennial park.
A nice day at best, but we were all disappointed with the show for one main reason the show was turned off too early. People were were livid walking away from the stage show as the M.C. asked the crowd to not leave. Beenie man had just finished performing and the police apparently had walked on the stage and told him time was up. I'm paraphrasing because we did hear any police say anything. Beenie man did say the show was over the though because time was up. After the M.C. shouted "Don't Leave, Don't Leave, We can't do uno dat fi unu money" then he quickly introduced super cat.
I don't what went wrong with Best of the Best 2008. But it was a big disappointment. No one from the alliance showed up. O.K. Fine, mavado had a little problem, what happened to everyone else?
Barrington Levy gave a great performance. So did sizzla callangi.
To sum it all up. Best of the Best 2008 had a great promotion. I've heard about it since the year started. Alot of people turned out and the Best of the Best 2008 was nothing less than a shame and disgrace. It was not worth the $65 to get in or the $100 for V.I.P. I do not think I will attend another. I heard the M.C. excuse... "People unu hafi start come early..." It's very simple you start your show on time no matter what... People will learn. | |
